WELCOME
Thank you for showing an interest in our school. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about us. At Linley House School, within the context of small class sizes, we aim to provide a stimulating and happy atmosphere which encourages children to form good academic and social habits required for success in life. To this end, we take a close personal interest in the emotional and spiritual development of each child from the moment he or she arrives at the school.
All children must wear school uniform and LHS insists on a high standard of both dress and behaviour.
Milk is available for the midmorning break and a well balanced and nutritious lunch is provided for those children attending all day.
We attach great importance to communication with parents. Reports are sent home twice a year. In addition, parents have an opportunity to discuss their child's progress in detail at the twice yearly Parents' Evenings. On a daily basis, any small problems or queries that parents may have can be resolved with Mrs. Mallin or the teaching staff .
All pupils are expected to attend regularly and punctually. In the case of illness the school office must be informed of the cause of absence. No pupil is allowed to leave the school premises without permission.
Term Dates are made known to parents well in advance, and we expect that family holidays be taken outside term time.
We encourage in our children a caring attitude towards one another. We do not tolerate bullying or poor behaviour towards others.
We would like to meet you, so please telephone Mrs. Simmons, the School Secretary, to make an appointment with Mrs. Mallin. She will be pleased to meet you and show you around our school. We have recently had both a very successful Full School Ofsted Inspection and Early Years Ofsted Inspection.
