Pre-Prep class visit to Holly Lodge .....

  'The girls dressed in smocks and mob caps. The boys wore waistcoats and flatcaps....' 

'We played with a doll, a spinning top, a wooden horse and a ball and ring.'

              'We washed clothes in a tin tub and we used a washing dolly and washing board. We held a flat iron and it was very heavy.'

'I liked the cooking because it was fun. We crushed sugar lumps in the pestle and mortar and I rolled dough on a rolling board.'
